I love this book for so many reasons beginning with the most important one which is that my mother gave it to me. She was always so good at selecting the right type of book. And what is the "right" type of book you ask? Well...that is a post in itself :) "El Oficio de ser Madre" is a short read rich in parenting advice for kids of all ages. Even if the tools are not new to you, the book makes on feel understood, sane, and grounded. I am sure it must have been translated in every language. As with everything else in my life, I found my copy on Amazon.
It is one that I keep in my arsenal. Do you have one of those? The book you go back to time and time again because raising a 1 year old is different than raising a 7 year old and raising the second 1 year old is different than the first? Me too. I am sure that with time you will learn which books are in my reference shelf. Yes, I have a reference shelf, and that is just the beginning.
